Practice Managers' Network
The Practice Managers' Network (PMN) was developed to support the business of your practice. The PMN offers its subscribers an array of resources—from coding support and Webinars, to AUA publications and educational tools.
AUA Coding Seminars
These coding seminars are taught by highly respected urology coding experts who provide updates on coding changes, discussions of common coding questions and payment denials gathered from the AUA Coding Hotline, and practical exercises to hone the skills of anyone in the practice who is involved with CPT, HCPCS or ICD coding. Check the AUA Calendar for upcoming events.
Coding Basics: Fundamentals of Coding Instruction for Beginning Urology Coders
Designed for new urologists, new practice managers and coders and billers employed in urology practices, this series of on-demand webinars is designed to provide elementary instruction in medical coding for reimbursement, along with unique situations that arise in the specialty of urology.
Practice Management Webinar Series
Periodically, the Practice Management Department will schedule educational sessions conducted in webinar format. This means that the course material will be placed on the Internet, and the faculty will speak via teleconference.
Practice Management Conference & Webcasts
Held every year at the AUA Annual Meeting, the Practice Management Conference & Webcasts presents a variety of topics to practice administrators and physicians while providing updates in the newest practice management trends.
Practice Management Resource Manual
The AUA Practice Resource Series will present practice managers with a compact and organized group of forms dedicated to different areas of practice management.
Workplace Violence Preparedness Toolkit
This free toolkit is dedicated to the memory of Ron Gilbert, MD and Charles G.Gholdoian, MD, two urologists who lost their lives in workplace violence incidents. These events resulted in recommendations from the AUA Practice Management Committee to develop this toolkit and distribute to all urology practices free of charge in an effort to prevent such a terrible event from ever happening again.
The toolkit is structured as a series of templates that your practice can modify to provide a basic format to initiate a workplace violence preparedness program. You may add your practice name to the documents and modify the language to fit your situation as you see fit. Many of the checklists and forms were modeled after documents graciously supplied by Urology Nevada and Kaiser Permanente.
